Playing with stuff

This blog's been quiet for a while. Sorry 'bout that. Coming soon I'll be posting about a couple of things we've been experimenting with. First, for the last 8 weeks we've been using Jeff Patton 's techniques for using goals and user stories in the product backlog to express activities, tasks the user performs and tools the user needs to perform the tasks . Second, we're 'playing' with Critical Chain estimation , specifically the use of a Project Buffer or in our case an Iteration Buffer, to remove padding from our estimates to see if we are able to deliver more and get a boost into sustainable hyperproductivity. Kevin Rutherford experienced some success with this when he tried it . Last, and if I can convince Gus, we'll post about our use of Grails .
